"Sauna & Key Health Benefits"
Abbreviated from the term "hot bath," the word of Swedish origin is “batsu,” and it has been part of Swedish daily culture since the 13th century.
For some, considered a therapy, the sauna is a technique of sweating and relaxation that has been practiced for hundreds of years by the people of Northern and Eastern Europe as an essential means of well-being and relaxation.
Beyond the relaxation and tranquillity it offers, the sauna can be especially beneficial during the colder seasons like autumn and winter, as a way to alleviate cold symptoms. The temperature and steam generated in the sauna can help to clear the respiratory passages.
In addition to physical and mental relaxation, sauna benefits contribute to various aspects of health, including:
- Strengthening blood circulation;
- Cleansing pores and hydrating the skin;
- Combating stress;
- Fighting hypertension;
- Improving sleep quality;
- Relaxing body muscles;
- Preventing skin sagging;
- Unblocking respiratory pathways;
- Promoting a sense of serenity;
- Eliminating toxins from the body;
- Combating respiratory illnesses and improving heart health.
The sauna is therefore the perfect option for boosting the immune system and aiding in the elimination of toxins through sweating.
Note: Before starting your sauna session, it’s recommended to take a lukewarm shower to help open the pores. We advise 15-minute sessions, followed by a cold shower, and then another 15 minutes of heat.
